We were recently contacted by ADN Films in Mexico City about providing some kids who can ride Dirtsurfers as stunt doubles in a chocolate milk commercial.
I said I’d look into it. They wanted the kids to pass for 10 to 13 year olds. Hmmm… that’s a bit more difficult. Most people I know who ride are pretty big, even the kids. So I contacted the only full family of inline boarders I know, the Turman family.
I called Rob and asked if he could help me round up some kids who would be willing and able to go to Mexico to ride Dirtsurfers in a commercial. I needed two boys and two girls. They need to be able to ride off-road, do jumps and power slides.
Fortunately, his kids have managed to get their friends into the sport and they were all excited about the opportunity. I spoke with the producer at ADN Films to clear up some questions and she asked me to submit a video of the kids so they could find actors to match our riders. Here is the video of Chase Turman, Hope Turman, friend Nick and dad Rob doing their thing on Dirtsurfers.
As it stands now, the shoot is scheduled for June 24th through the 27th. We’re hoping the new Flexi Freestyles will be in by then so that everybody will have sweet new rides and matching Dirtsurfer brand protective gear.
This should be alot of fun. Can’t wait. We’ll all get back in time to head to the beach on vacation for the 4th of July Holiday week. If we do the commercial, I’ll post it here.
Buenos dias, amigos.
Brian

Awesome, and it will give publicity to dirtsurfer in Mexico (If the comercial is indeed intended for Mexico…) If it sparks interest it might help get the sport started in Mexico. Cant wait to get a freestyle.
Just out of curiosity, do you know where exactly will the comercial be shot?
Best regards from Mexico City,
Alonso
Hi, Alonso.
The commercial is to be shot near Mexico City… out in the forest. Not sure of the excat location. I hope to find out soon.
We’re very excited about the possibilities. I wish we had at least one retailer there who could take the orders and sell the gear. The commercial will air in some Mexico markets. Hope to see you there.
Cheers,
Brian
I’m probably too young to take that responsibility ( 18 years old hehe) However once I get a dirtsurfer I could look around to see if any store that sells skateboards or Mountain boards, maybe even mountainbikes might be interested. Right now I have no idea what the potencial market might be here who knows how many people might be interested in buying dirtsurfers as they are a bit expensive, and with the exchange rate… however it could be a large market.
Good Luck with the 2006 models release.
